Merry Christmas
Nicki and Me in Little Chute
Here’s a real photograph of my sister and me in our Little Chute living room. I’m not sure against which window this tree was placed, but I do see the edge of the Nativity set my mom put up for Christmas every year. If you recall, in an early Clarity Moment, she had it set up in the kitchen instead. It had unpainted white statuary as you can barely see on the edge of this photo.
I hadn’t ever noticed that we had at least two colors of garland on the tree. We didn’t have much money, so I suspect this was the result of not buying more “tinsel,” as we called it, to match for the entire tree. I also didn’t notice the tree was on top of a table, nor do I recall that.
You’ve got to love our upper midwestern smiles. I’m going to guess I was four or five at the time of this photograph.
Here’s the ChatGPT edit.
I’m not sure if you can see it, but I often find the ChatGPT versions of my own face to be questionable. Here, however, I feel it’s pretty close, but I don’t think my sister’s face looks anything like her. What do you think?
I suspect I got those pants when my sister grew out of them.
Merry Christmas!
